22 Suffolk Fairgrounds Redevelopment, Suffolk, VA

Project Description

Developer designed and installed all site infrastructure and constructed thirty-six (36) single family for sale units in an urban infill environment. Houses for sale were a mix of market rate units and low to moderate income opportunities. Infrastructure costs were a combination of City Hud Section 108 loan funds and private equity.

King Square Apartments, Portsmouth, VA

Project Description

The project is comprised of fifty-seven (57) family rental units, on six (6) acres of land. The Project includes 12 duplex units, 3 triplex units and 4 six plex units, built to VHDA standards, and financed with tax-exempt bonds and 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Project Description

Two separate Hope VI Grant housing developments in Portsmouth, VA.,totaling approximately $75 million, mixed multifamily and single-family housing.ACS has completed 248 single family, duplex, and attached housing units, with a new phase of 105 detached ownership units started in 2008. ACS’s responsibilities in the new phase included all site development work
as well as the new home construction.

Church Street and Washington Avenue, Norfolk, VA

Project Description

Development of 27 townhomes in the Huntersville/Church Street Corridor, requiring environmental remediation measures on the site and on several of the building structures. ACS is managing the onsite development and will build half of the townhomes for sale. The homes will be built utilizing green building techniques,and will include market rate units, as well as low/moderate income units.

A Public/Private Partnership with Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority to redevelop an intercity property for affordable housing.

Vanguard Landing

Project Description

Vanguard Landing is a planned community developed by a non-profit agency, to serve the needs of approximately 185 adult residents and 50-day program participants with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. The community is in the Pungo/Red Mill area of Virginia Beach, VA, and will include approximately 37 residential buildings, each with five beds. The support facilities will total approximately 55,000 SF, to include administrative and community space, cafeteria, recreational and commercial space, to provide a total living experience for the residents. Project is currently under design with an anticipated construction start in the Fall, 2019.
