ACS acted as developer and owner of this Sixteen Lot Subdivision through a sister company, HDG, LLC and as builder with fourteen other premier builders and a dedicated team of volunteers to build sixteen new homes in five days! This project would not have been possible without the support both financially and with the close working relationship with the City staff. This was the largest build for Habitat for Humanity in 2008; a tribute to what a team effort can achieve.

Ten new homes built in five days. ACS, along with seven other premier Home Builders and one dedicated group of volunteers.The ten homes were built on in-fill urban lots in the Prentis Park section of Portsmouth. This was the first new construction in this neighborhood in more than Thirty years; now more than twenty home starts have followed.

In 2008, ACS was selected by St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for the prestigious honor of builder for their “Dream Home” fund raising event.Our team of dedicated employees and Subcontractors provided a 3,800 sq. ft., two-story home with a view of the Chesapeake Bay, in Norfolk.We are proud to have helped raise over $980,000 for St. Judes Research Hospital.
